Hamilton Out Of the Cold Program (HOOTC)

HOOTC provides dinner and a warm place to stay for many people. You can read more about them at their website, www.hamiltonoutofthecold.freeservers.com/

It is a fantastic program that is highly respected by the patrons. Sister Carol-Anne (HOOTC's founder) is very dedicated and supportive.

Community Catapult will be working with HOOTC on our Home Street Home project.

Last Night (Nov 6th) at HOOTC was pretty awesome. Before we went, we gathered a couple of boxs full of clothing that we dont wear and took them with us to hand out. Someone else dropped off two garbage bags, so we put those out as well. We found a strong need for warm clothing, not only for the homeless, but the others who attend HOOTC to suppliment their food needs. (Doug Hiltz)

We posted an ad on Kijiji and Facebook asking for donations:

• Lots of Hats and gloves are needed
• Clothes, jackets, boots and shoes for both men and women
• Blankets are needed for some of the patrons that do have a home, sleeping bags might come in handy for the people on the streets

If anyone has any clothing they would like to give, if you would like to help out by attending HOOTC for clothing give out or collect clothing from your friends and famiily, please let me know. I can advise of the locations and days of HOOTC. (Doug Hiltz)
