Community Catapult is a nonprofit Community Development organization created from the community, for the community of Hamilton, Ontario.

Our mission is to build awareness and motivate community members to come together for collective action and generate solutions to common problems surrounding poverty. (Learn more about our current projects here).

20% of Hamiltonian's live in poverty.  25% of our children don't get enough to eat as a result.   This has far-reaching effects on the development and sustainability of our community. It is compromising our way of life.

Our vision is to purchase the old Westinghouse building and refurbish it as a Community Development Resource Centre that will be accessible to the entire community, bringing resources for personal development, business development and community development under one roof. This building will mark the Community Development Era for Hamilton.
